The Lab Assistant provides laboratory testing support to microbiologist/molecular scientists and managers. The position will consist of routine work such as general housekeeping, testing preparation, operation of laboratory equipment, and routine maintenance. Special tasks will be assigned by managers or microbiologists/molecular scientists on a daily basis. This position will require approximately 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate would want to work first shift hours and be okay with weekend shifts (Sundays in particular). All initial training will be completed M-F, and then transition into weekend coverage.
