Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Sales Director to lead the commercial sales and program management function across a Business Unit within the Americas region.  This entails mentoring and further building the team to drive best practice and a culture of commercial and program excellence, in addition to implementing the systems and processes required to support the ongoing development and professionalization of the commercial side of the business.    

 

The primary function of the role is leading and coaching assigned staff to drive profitable growth both within current customer base and new prospects, to increase customer satisfaction, drive productivity and achieve and exceed Element’s booking objectives.

 

The position is responsible for the day-to-day management and coaching of a sales team, program team and quotation management team, to maximize bookings on all customer segments.  The individual should display and cascade an Enterprise mentality and create a positive environment.  He/she is also responsible for the prioritization and assignment of their resources to the best opportunities and potential customers, setting clear goals and priorities for their direct reports.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the generation of the Regions’s strategic plans, working with other functional leads and business heads to ensure alignment with the current financial planning cycles
  • Seek out and support new partnership/alliance opportunities and undertake the initial business assessment for alignment with the Group, Region and Business Unit strategies/objectives
  • Grow Element’s market presence by identifying and exploiting new opportunities through service extensions and leveraging the capabilities of the wider Element group
  • Identify and propose geographical expansions through M&A or green field opportunities
  • Prepare market assessment studies, business cases and execute plans for new business opportunities, including contributing to capital request proposals

Skills / Qualifications

  • Approximately ten-fifteen years of Sales experience with direct experience in a sales management or equivalent position
  • Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience leading or supporting Program/project Management resources
  • Responsible for a minimum, 8 digit order intake budget
  • Remote management of a national (or very large multi-state region) sales team
