Study Director - Micro

Element has an opportunity for Study Director to work in a fast-paced environment directing laboratory-based studies evaluating antimicrobial products. The ideal candidate has microbiology laboratory experience, as well as exemplary client service and project management skills.



  • Perform Study Director functions, as outlined in EPA and FDA Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Regulations (40 CFR Part 160 & 21 CFR Part 58
  • Serve as the single point of control in the execution of antimicrobial laboratory study protocols
  • Manage the design, conduct and interpretation of test assays to ensure technical integrity of studies
  • Utilize strong project management skills to efficiently manage multiple antimicrobial studies
  • Communicate with lab technicians about each study and remain available to answer questions while studies are being conducted

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum BS/BA in microbiology, biology or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years applicable of experience in a laboratory environment
  • Experience working in a classical microbiology or virology laboratory preferred
  • Knowledge of the principles of classical microbiology and virology, including cell culture knowledge and microscopy experience
