Admin Assistant (Contract)

Element has an opportunity for an Intern-Laboratory Admin Assistant to join our paid internship program. This is a temporary 6-month internship with the potential of going permanent. In this role, the intern will learn proper documentation processes, perform administrative tasks work in accordance to established QA (Quality Assurance) procedures and in full compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), interact with scientists, QA, customer services and other team members to support a sGMP laboratory operations.


Element’s Life Sciences group supports developers and manufacturers in the antimicrobial, food and nutraceutical, medical device, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. We provide personalized testing solutions and regulatory consulting support to validate the safety and efficacy of our clients’ products at every stage of development, production and market release.



  • To effectively conduct all necessary administrative functions for an efficiently managed laboratory

  • Tracks and maintains sample preparation and testing schedule.

  • Update ETA spreadsheet accordingly and keep Customer Services, Quality Assurance and

  • Tracks and maintains calibration records for all equipment used in the laboratory

  • Communicates with internal/external clients, and outside vendors, Keeps management apprised of any condition and/or findings that may impact schedules including any issues for which the customer may need to be contacted

  • Participates in Lab Group Meetings and in-house/outside trainings to enhance analytical knowledge and productivity

Skills / Qualifications

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills- Customer Service Experience is a plus

  • Science Background is desired but no required

  • Must be proficient in MS Office especially Excel and typing

  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and in a team environment while maintaining a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor to foster productive working relationship with management, coworkers, vendors and customers

  • Ability to interpret, comply with, and support Company policies, procedures, work rules, and protocols
