Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Aerospace Test Technician. The primary function of the Test Technician is to fabricate and operate unique test rigs directed and designed by Test Engineers to satisfy customer product qualification testing requirements. This position will work 3rd shift (11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.) after comletion of training period.

 

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates and maintains test fixtures and other laboratory equipment, following engineer 2-D and 3-D drawings and schematics of primarily hydraulic or pneumatic systems, to ensure proper working order based on customer needs
  • Interprets and adheres to the requirements of customer specified testing procedures and expectations
  • Installs and utilizes various sensors (primarily pressure, temperature, and flow sensors)
  • Records and documents all work performed in support of test setup and/or testing in a clear, concise manner in the project’s test log, traveler documents, maintenance logs, and other essential documentation
  • Utilizes facility resources including fuel, liquid and gaseous nitrogen, propane, compressed air, and cooling water

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience and/or training in Aerospace, Automotive, or Marine industries; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior Product Qualification Testing experience preferred
  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to the requirements of customer specifications
  • Ability to maintain professional candor at all times and remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities

 

NOTE:  This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
