Test Technician

Job Locations US-MN-St. Paul


Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to test customer products by utilizing standard methods (ASTM, ANSI, ISO, etc), variations of known methods as well as custom requests. As a member of the Sleep System Testing Department, the Test Technician performs a variety of testing and support activities and ensures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.



  • Perform routine and custom performance and regulatory testing in accordance with relevant industry or customer specifications
  • Conducts tests and keep accurate records in a laboratory notebook or standardized forms
  • Testing includes durability, performance and flammability evaluations
  • Must comply with safety rules, company policies, and procedures
  • Will cross-train in other work areas

Skills / Qualifications

  • Associates or the equivalent in work experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Must have excellent mechanical / electronics aptitude
  • Works well with colleagues and customers
  • Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) as well as ability to adapt to custom software applications
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
