Order Entry Technician

Job Locations US-NC-Charlotte


Element has an opportunity for an Order Entry Technician to join our growing team in Charlotte NC. In this role you will be responsible for composing, typing and reviewing of test reports/certifications and placing orders on computer system as required, ensuring that details are checked and authorizations are obtained. You will also be greeting and interacting with clients, vendors and visitors to the office, while providing coverage and support for reception area and answering telephones.


  • Compose, type and review of test reports/certifications
  • Prioritizing Order Entry work to be completed and perform other administrative duties
  • Updating the CRM system when required
  • Scanning completed work orders
  • Updating and maintaining vendor records and files, invoices, packing slips
  • Covering the front desk which includes logging in guests in accordance with company ITAR policies and procedures and phone coverage
  • Arranging storage of older work order packages per laboratory policy and extended storage requirements of certain clients
  • Office supply keepstock inventory and creating purchase orders to maintain inventory levels

Skills / Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general administration and office organization gained within a busy office environment
  • Computer literate in MS Office packages such as Word and Excel
  • The ability to operate standard office equipment including telephone systems and copier machines
  • Experience liaising with customers, invoicing as well as compiling reports and records
  • Excellent team player 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision as well as a being good problem solver
  • Excellent knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques as well as strong planning / estimating skills are also highly valuable attributes
