Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to be a part of the transportation department whose primary responsibility will be aiding in operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all shipping documentation in accordance with customer and export requirements including commercial invoices, bills-of-lading, and packing lists
  • Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
  • Collaborates and communicates with colleagues, customers, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area
  • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and receives goods in Microsoft AX
  • Maintains an accurate log of daily moves
  • Engages with vendors, drivers and colleagues with a positive attitude
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager
  • Ability to drive company vehicle to and from vendor, supplier and customer sites

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driving license
  • Chauffeurs license preferred but not required
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • 6 months logistics, retail, or customer service experience preferred Forklift certification
  • Must be energetic, proactive and take initiative to get the job done

NOTE:  This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency
