Associate Test Technician

Element has an opportunity for an Associate Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. You will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.



  • Prepare water and soil samples for analysis including but not limited to 3550, 3510, EPH and TX1005
  • Perform tasks pertaining to the prep of samples including, but not limited to, preparation of standards and solutions; accurately preparing dilutions; meet holding times; organizing and de-cluttering the area on a regular basis; and detailed documentation
  • Must be knowledgeable of the relevant SOPs to insure strict adherence of all procedures
  • Equipment maintenance of ZHE’s, ZHE pump, fractionator equipment and soxtec extractor
  • Wash glassware and perform other tasks in required manner when necessary
  • Sample disposal
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies which includes the use of lab coats, gloves and safety glasses at all times within the lab
  • Cross-training in other areas as well as assisting throughout the lab when needed
  • Weekend and holiday work is possible as needed

Skills / Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed 0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts
  • Possess computer skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
