Business Development Manager

Job Locations US-CA-Santa Fe Springs


Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager responsible for named accounts within a specific geographic area. This position will be responsible for growing the pharmaceutical business unit. 



  • Identifying, qualifying, targeting and engaging with new medium to large  accounts as well as actively selling through meetings with existing customers
  • Developing a Sales plan and owning sales budget for the territory
  • Taking ownership of all sales opportunities and quotations
  • Maintaining information held on CRM
  • Actively pursuing all new sales opportunities from Sales Professionals within the wider business
  • Maintaining the sales forecast with the relevant General Managers and Operations Managers
  • Developing, maintaining and owning account plans
  • Working alongside peers in all Element sectors to identify opportunities to cross sell

Skills / Qualifications

  • Significant sales experience within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries
  • Ability to discuss technical issues related to the industry at a professional level
  • Bachelors Degree in a Science Related field is a plus
  • Experience and working knowledge of the pharmaceutical and life sciences market and associated testing requirements
  • Qualifications or technical experience within the pharma industry would be desirable
  • An ambitious and driven individual who is motivated by success
  • You will work well under pressure and will have the ability to prioritise, organize and coordinate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
