Overview

PCTEST Engineering Laboratory, proud to be a part of Element has an opportunity for a Sr. Compliance Engineer, EMC/RF, who can work and/or oversees as lead engineer on multiple projects. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of FCC and ISED rule parts, test standards, and referenced test procedures

  • Knowledge of EMC and RF test methods

  • Studies latest EMC and RF test methods, works with management to update test procedures and training as needed

  • Maintains and fully manages projects within deadline

  • Assist on other tasks such as System Verifications, EMC Training, Report Quality Review,

  • Equipment Calibration Management

  • Provide training on EMC/RF testing to other employees

  • Perform detailed quality review of EMC/RF test reports

  • Prepare test procedures to be used within the EMC department

  • Actively involved in setting up and maintaining new tests or test areas

  • Assist Quality Manager and Lab Manager to maintain ISO 17025 and ISO 17065 accreditation

  • Ability to use all available resources to solve problems independently

  • Maintain detailed notes of troubleshooting steps and resolutions

  • Report issues in a clear and concise manner

  • Follow up with issues and record all additional time spent on projects

  • Communicate progress and technical issues with client in a professional manner  

  • Keep track of all projects related information and responds to emails accordingly in a timely fashion

  • Follow the open-door policy by keeping an open line of communication

  • Communicate with customers to provide details of available resources for testing

  • Work with other engineers in a productive manner

  • Able to communicate verbally and send detailed emails that clearly outline their intent 

  • Communicate clearly with clients about issues pertaining to their submissions

  • Research and understanding tests standards for various regulatory domains

  • Manage and review multiple submitted applications in a timely fashion

  • Work with internal departments to keep the project schedule for certification

  • Communicate with customer, vendors and internal PCTEST lab team members 

  • Request estimates from vendors

  • Research specific country requirements

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required from an ABET accredited or equivalent institution or higher
  • Organized, critical thinker, team player, detail oriented, comfortable with troubleshooting
  • Take initiative to acquire complete understanding and develop skills in a specific practice area with excellent performance
  • Four years or more experience in EMC and RF Testing
