Operations Manager I

PCTEST Engineering Laboratory, proud to be a part of Element has an opportunity for an Operations Manager I to join our growing team. Under the direction of the GM or EVP of CA, helps lead the efficient operation and growth of the assigned department/location. This includes planning, assigning and scheduling work for designated staff.  Assists in the engineering and coordination of projects from start to finish.  Provides supervision and tracks performance of lab operations and personnel. Works with appropriate teams to assure quality, timeliness, consistency, and accuracy of test reports.  Is responsible for the team’s safety and security performance and awareness.



  • Ability to communicate knowledge and expertise
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PCTEST/Element capabilities, processes, and expertise to be able to clearly explain the benefits of PCTEST/Element testing services
  • Present and always represent PCTEST/Element with high integrity and in professional manner
  • Responsible for promoting and ensuring the Element Quality Assurance, Safety, and Security programs and initiatives
  • Ability to work individually, Possesses the ability to work primarily alone and make independent decisions during the workday
  • Ability to utilize experience resolving complex technical issue.  Develop strong relationships with both internal and external clients to resolve issues that arise within the daily course of business
  • Manages a team with fairness and consistency.  Takes interest in the development of direct reports
  • Provides general administrative functions as required (invoicing, job list upkeep, supply report data for creation)
  • Supports and provides input on strategic planning efforts within the department/location
  • Impact of experience on daily operations and strategies
  • High impact on the business resulting from close working relationships with customer base and colleagues
  • Performs and tracks progress of all test projects running within his/her assigned lab

  • Reviews testing services and promotes additional capacity and process improvement
  • Translating technical requirements of the client into providing pricing, timing, and technical
  • knowledge for quoting and commercial efforts
  • Interfaces with client on a frequent basis for job initiation, job progress, general customer service

Skills / Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership managerial role
  • Four (4) years or more experience in RF, EMC, or Wireless testing preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret test specifications, schematics, and/or test plans
  • Must maintain extensive knowledge of the current suite of testing capabilities
