Quality System Coordinator

Element has an opportunity for Quality System Coordintor. whose primary function is to support the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and auditing requirements.  Work is to be performed and reviewed in accordance with established Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.



  • Develop, establish, and maintain QMS documents (policies, procedures, audits and forms)
  • Review Quality documents (e.g. test standards, specifications, drawings, etc.) and facilitate implementation
  • Liase with various Quality professionals across the Americas.
  • Maintain quality system site, and all required documentation in support of Amercias Quality system
  • Aid Quality team in preparing for and undergoing third party audits
  • Assist in continual improvement activities
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned by the Division Quality Manager – Aerospace & Defense East

Skills / Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Prefer experience working with an accredited quality management system preferred (e.g. ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 17025, ISO 17043, Nadcap AC7006)
  • Work independently and effectively with little supervision
  • Able to prioritize work and keep key stakeholders informed of progress
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events/projects within the company
  • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
  • Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect
  • Ability to work within a dynamic team consisting of production, technical, and supervisor staff, when required
  • Ability to facilitate continuous improvement throughout the organization, and drive quality initiatives in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of organizational skill with the systems and filing requirements in the laboratory
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, testing procedures and methods, calibrations requirements, customer testing specifications, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

NOTE:  This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
