Element has an opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager who will be reporting directly to the Business Unit Quality Manager, North American Transportation and Industrials (T&I) and indirectly to the laboratory General Manager, you are an essential member of the management team and responsible for the overall quality performance. This includes the Element quality management system (QMS), improving First Time Right, maintaining and developing relationships with customers, and improving processes. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements in relation to materials testing. Experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental a plus!
In this role, you will have interaction with clients, Accreditation Bodies, and will be responsible for advising operational colleagues of the importance of quality, accuracy and integrity in the provision of the inspection and testing services we provide.
You will be involved in leading quality at a local level and will work closely with the Business Unit Quality Manager, North American T&I to ensure that Element quality policies, processes and procedures are effectively implemented in New Berlin. As a quality leader within Element you will be capable of driving a culture of quality assurance and quality improvement, working closely with your operational colleagues and the wider Element quality community. The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring production and reporting of reliable data, and therefore has authority and organizational freedom to stop work in progress, stop test report shipments, change test and preparation procedures, update test and preparation methods, audit department performance, and institute corrective actions.
