EMC Compliance Engineer (Bilingual)

PCTEST Engineering Laboratory, proud to be part of Element, has an opportunity for EMC Compliance Engineer, in the Regulatory Division of the Columbia, MD location. This position applies engineering problem solving skills to evaluate wireless devices for federal regulations, wireless consumer technologies in a fast-paced environment and industry as well as eventually learning to interpret and communicate with engineering teams in South Korea. All training is provided.



  • Perform electromagnetic compatibility and interference compliance testing on cutting edge wireless devices using antennas and spectrum analysis and time domain measurement equipment

  • Compiling detailed test results using MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Interfacing and communicating with clients in oral and written Korean together with English speaking engineers in a technical and professional manner
  • Collaborating daily in an engineering team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies, reporting, coordination of various tasks, etc.
  • Coordinating and managing multiple projects with a team of managers and test engineers with tight deadlines
  • Developing and maintaining support software for test procedures and report generation

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and reasoning skills
  • Being able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Korean and English language
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the organization
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • UG GPA 3.2 or higher preferred
  • Must be able to work rotational weekends
  • Evening Shift Differential 
  • Typical Hours 40 - 60 hours per week
  • Basic software programming or coding experience a plus
