The primary function of the Program Manager is to be the customer’s main point of contact for technical and project scope details for assigned projects. This role will provide technical support, training and guidance to the technicians and operators. The Program Manager will oversee the project(s) from inception to completion, taking responsibility for the quality, and scope of the projects. In addition, they will be responsible to identify the technical issues of assigned accounts.
Accountable for cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned Projects including training new hires, developing manufacturing site and leading/supervising employees as required
Ensure all projects are managed and executed within approved management processes and guidelines
Make personnel recommendations to the GM in support of business and program objectives
Manage effective customer communications
Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements
Communicate and manage customer expectations and contractual commitments
Prepare & publish metrics and reports and manage overall program status
Maintain program/project metrics, quality, technical performance and delivery
Coordinate all risks and requirements of assigned projects. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all program activities and deliverables, and by measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved
Provide periodic program updates of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provides updates to the GM, as well as Divisional Director
Responsible for supporting and training Technicians and Engineers in the respective disciplines

Associates degree in an Engineering, Materials Science, or related field or 10+ years of experience. Bachelors Degree preferred
5 years of Project Management experience within an aerospace testing facility and/or in a related position.
Previous leadership experience (1-5 years)
Frequency of required physical force: Medium
Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. occasionally
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel)
Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events/projects in the community, with customers and within the company
Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
Well developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect
Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; helps develop proposals including cost estimates, work plan and terms and conditions
