  • Accounts Receivable Manager

  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Manager. In this unique role you will be responsible for not only leading the Accounts Receivable team but also evolving processes and performing data analysis.  This role requires a mix of people leadership and strong financial analysis (financial analyst) background.   In addition, this role will support and drive a company culture of excellence.



    • Manage, motivate and develop team to achieve committed department objectives
    • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for cash applications
    • Prioritize tasks within the cash applications and collections teams
    • Perform and oversee general duties of team including:  day to day cash applications, oversight of customer portals and credit balances, weekly receipts forecast, inter-company process, investigation of outstanding balances, month end close & reporting
    • Communicate with key strategic or key customers to resolve issues and concerns; facilitating resolution of escalated problems or issues
    • Work closely with General Managers and Finance teams to ensure proper participation in the collection process
    • Develop/prepare monthly reporting including accounts receivable performance metrics, lab receipts variance analysis to cash forecast, collection issues trends

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Minimum 6 years of experience in multi-site / location accounts receivable or similar accounting function
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage innovation and teamwork
    • Strong organizational/time management skills and prioritization skills and multitasking abilities
    • Demonstrate excellent organization, documentation and follow through skills
    • Process focused; detail-oriented; flexible and creative 
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
    • Ability to interact well with all levels of employees and outside contacts; establish partnerships
    • Ability to create, manage and manipulate Excel spreadsheets, advanced knowledge preferred
