  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Solution Architect. This role will report to the Executive Vice President of Integrated Testing Solutions and is responsible for assessing customer requirements and Element capabilities to design solutions that meet customer needs. As part of the evaluation and design process, this person will collaborate with Sales members across all Element Sectors to act as a subject matter expert in creating innovative partnership solutions to drive business growth.


    The ideal candidate will have experience in developing solutions based on client needs / expectations and a demonstrated ability to present in front of perceptive audiences including V - suite clientele. In this role, you will be responsible for designing complex outsourcing solutions and business partnership that meet the needs of our customers while meeting / exceeding Element’s growth targets. The position can work remotely from home, but must have flexibility to accommodate a global operations across multiple time zones and have the ability to travel as needed (50% - 75% expected). 



    • Responsible for analyzing client environments and determining how an outsourced solution will support their operational strategy, goals and objectives while adding tangible value
    • Manage opportunities through the sales process, by monitoring requirements and ensuring that deadlines are being met
    • Project Management responsibility for defining the structure and approach to proposal creation and bid responses for new opportunities
    • Drive, support and deliver client presentations
    • Coordinate and determine appropriate cost and pricing models with Sector Finance and Operations teams to incorporate into proposals and quotations
    • Manage client relationships and expectations for the entire business development cycle from program solution development through integration
    • Collaborate with Sales, Business Development and Operations team members to identify deliverables and design programs / solutions
    • Account expansion  throughout  customers’ various locations and subsidiaries by identifying any Element opportunities and developing growth and development strategies
    • Contribute to improving Element's position in the engineering outsourcing arena through: Case Study Development; Whitepaper Development; and Industry trade or professional association participation / contribution
    • Review and develop key contractual terms for new clients to ensure operations can deliver against expectations
    • Generate professional proposal materials including writing content and creative presentation
    • Collaborate with Sector and Division Operations and Sales members to identify deliverables and design solutions for targeted clients
    • Generate initial statement of work and agreement documents, and coordinate reviews with other parts of the organization such as Legal, Finance, Operations and others as needed
    • Prepare Tollgate Review documents and coordinate meetings as needed throughout the sales pursuit process

    Skills / Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited 4-year college or university in Science, Engineering or Business Administration with MBA preferred
    • Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering, Sales, or Business Development within a highly technical environment
    • Strong Mathematical Skills with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, accounting and financial modelling
    • Experience working in large and complex client facing engagements
    • First hand operational experience in an engineering, testing, quality or development environment; Lean / Six Sigma / Process expertise a plus
    • Highly organized and driven individual with strong Project Management Skills with a firm understanding of the consultative sales process
    • Strong skills with Excel, Word, Power-Point, or other presentation and graphic design tools
    • Ability to problem solve and offer solutions in a timely fashion that meet prospective customer needs and are of financial beneficial to Element
    • High level of financial acumen with experience in developing solutions based on client needs / expectations
    • Must possess a strong ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with clients and colleagues with great attention to detail and timing of results
    • Ability to deeply analyze and resolve operational, finance and other significant business issues
