  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our growing team. Our company is responsible for testing the materials used in the most critical aerospace engine applications. We need a detailed, accomplished individual with a great personality to work with this dynamic team. Does your current supervisor rely upon you?     • Develop, establish, and maintain QMS documents (policies, procedures, and forms)
    • Lead Root Cause / Corrective Action teams comprised of technicians, supervisors and managers
    • Provide training to employees on quality related topics
    • Perform process audits
    • Create uncertainty budgets
    • Maintain quality system intranet site
    • Respond to customer surveys
    • Review technical documents (test standards, specifications, drawings, etc.) and facilitate implementation
    • Liaise with customers by identifying, communicating, and resolving quality issues
    • Liaise with suppliers and procure materials and services for department
    • Support the Cause and Corrective Action and Audit Processes
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science required with an emphasis in Engineering from an accredited four-year institution 

    • Prefer 2 years of experience working with accredited quality management systems e.g. ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 17025, ISO 17043, Nadcap AC7006, ASME NQA-1, ASME NCA-3800, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, GLPs, GMPs

    • Work independently and effectively with little supervision
    • Able to prioritize work and keep key stakeholders informed of progress
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis and root cause analysis
