Overview

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and being part of a team that produces high-quality results? Element is looking for a Metallurgical Sample Prep Technician to join our laboratory team in Daleville, IN.

 

No metallurgy experience? No problem.

 

We're seeking dependable, motivated individuals who are eager to learn and comfortable working in a laboratory and industrial environment. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with tools or equipment, and take pride in being reliable, we'd love to hear from you.

 

Compensation: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare material samples for testing and evaluation
  • Operate laboratory preparation equipment
  • Grind, polish, mount, and process metal samples
  • Work with laboratory chemicals, acids, and fume hoods
  • Log and track samples through the testing processHelp maintain equipment and support daily lab operations
  • Safely handle materials and components up to 40 lbs

Skills / Qualifications

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical work
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems
  • Comfortable working around machinery, chemicals, and industrial materials
  • Mechanical aptitude or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
