Overview

Element is hiring a Client Account Manager (Biologics Analytical Testing) in Ann Arbor, MI. This role serves as the primary scientific and technical liaison between clients and laboratory teams across the full lifecycle of biologics analytical projects. Responsibilities include inbound opportunity triage, pre-sales solution design, proposal development, and post-sale execution support. The role ensures complex biologics requirements are translated into executable, scientifically sound study designs aligned with both client expectations and internal laboratory capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review, triage, and qualify inbound RFQs, RFPs, and client inquiries by assessing technical feasibility, internal capability alignment, assay fit, project complexity, and overall scope; prioritize and route qualified opportunities to appropriate internal teams
  • Lead pre-sales technical solution design by translating client biologics analytical needs into structured study designs, scopes of work, timelines, and execution assumptions; develop scientifically sound proposals and quotations in collaboration with SMEs
  • Serve as primary scientific liaison between clients and laboratory teams, facilitating technical discussions, aligning stakeholders on study design and assay expectations, and ensuring clear communication of scope, feasibility, and deliverables
  • Provide post-sales technical support by enabling smooth transition from proposal to execution, maintaining client engagement throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring delivery remains aligned with agreed scientific and operational plans
  • Manage pipeline activity and CRM data by tracking opportunities and client interactions, supporting forecasting and visibility, and identifying follow-on work and account growth opportunities
  • Apply core biologics and bioanalytical expertise, including LC-MS/MS, ELISA, ligand-binding assays, biologics characterization, QC and release testing, cell-based potency and functional assays, cytotoxicity and mechanism-of-action assays, and analytical method development and validation across the biologics (CMC) lifecycle

Skills / Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, or related field
  • 5-10+ years in CRO, CDMO, or biopharma environments
  • Experience in biologics analytical testing and/or client-facing scientific roles
  • Strong ability to translate scientific requirements into executable solutions
