Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Order Entry & Distribution Technician (2nd Shift) to perform order entry of incoming test requests and other scheduled tasks under direction of Office Manager or detailed procedures. Perform technical review of client PO’s to ensure compliance.

 

Preferred schedule: 40 hours in 4 days (10-hour days) beginning at Noon Wednesday thru Saturday

 

Salary: $21- $32/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments & assist with Remnant material management, customer pickup and return of samples

• Review customer Purchase Orders, and enter work orders into the Labman system
• Verify that orders received include all necessary paperwork to allow for proper testing of samples
• Contact customers over PO discrepancies or to obtain additional test detail
• Manage all remnant materials
• Distribute entered sample/material to required processing departments
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lab management

Skills / Qualifications

• To perform this position successfully, an individual must be a team player and ability to partner with other team members

Experience with Excel, to include data entry, formatting, and simple formulas 

• The ability to lift 10 to 30 pounds frequently
• Will need to drive a forklift and adhere to safety standards
• Self-starter & self-accountability is a must
• Relevant experience in logistics, customer service or a materials testing or manufacturing environment desired

 

 

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency.
