Element is seeking a results-driven Quality Methods & Optimization Manager to design, govern, and continuously improve enterprise business systems across the Aerospace & Energy (A&E) Business Unit. This role builds scalable, standardized systems that enable consistent execution, compliance, training, and operational efficiency across destructive testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), industrial testing, and product qualification testing laboratories.
Reporting to the Quality Director, the role partners closely with Divisional Quality Managers and Divisional Vice Presidents across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, serving as a systems architect who translates complex regulatory, operational, and business requirements into simplified, structured, and highly adopted processes that support both strategic objectives and day-to-day lab execution.
Salary: $120,000- $160,000/yr DOE
Systems & Process Architecture
• Design and implement enterprise business systems that support SOP lifecycle management, document control, workflow execution, training, and compliance.
• Translate regulatory, operational, and business requirements into clear system designs and standardized workflows.
• Own system structure, taxonomy, governance models, and integration logic across platforms.
SOP & Content System Governance
• Establish and maintain SOP frameworks, templates, and versioning standards to ensure clarity, consistency, and audit readiness.
• Simplify complex procedural content while preserving technical accuracy and regulatory intent.
• Govern SOP lifecycle processes including creation, review, approval, change management, and archival.
Workflow Optimization & Scale
• Analyze current-state processes; design future-state workflows that reduce friction and increase adoption.
• Standardize processes across multiple labs, disciplines, and regions while allowing controlled local variation.
• Use metrics to measure system effectiveness, throughput, adoption, and risk reduction.
Training & Enablement Systems
• Partner with Quality and Operations to embed training, competency, and onboarding requirements directly into systems.
• Ensure procedural and system changes are supported by clear documentation and structured training pathways.
• Improve knowledge retention and execution consistency through system-driven guidance.
Governance, Compliance & Audit Support
• Ensure systems support compliance with aerospace, energy, and laboratory standards.
• Provide system-level evidence and structure for audits, customer reviews, and internal assessments.
• Maintain controls that ensure content accuracy, traceability, and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Serve as a liaison between Quality, Operations, IT, Engineering, and Training.
• Support strategic initiatives driven by the Quality Director and A&E leadership.
• Influence adoption and alignment across functions without direct authority.
Experience & Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, process design, content governance, or enterprise operations within complex organizations.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling structured systems supporting high-volume, regulated, or technically complex environments.
• Strong background in SOP governance, document control, workflow design, and content lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to use metrics to drive system improvements, adoption, and performance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
