Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Receiving Inspector to join our rapidly expanding team. The Receiving Inspector Counts and inspects articles to verify contents of shipments against the travelers by performing the follow duties.
 

Salary: $24- $27/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

• Verifies that traveler matches identification on customers’ containers/product.
• Unpack customers’ parts from the containers they were received in and store empty containers in a neat manner to ensure they do not become damaged or contaminated.
• Visually inspect parts in the approved inspection area (>60-foot candles of light) and show acceptance by initialing the traveler.
• If there is a problem with the parts such as (counts are off, damage, rust etc.) you will photograph the parts and place them on hold in a segregated area, record the discrepancies on the traveler in the comment area and notify the customer via e-mail requesting instruction on how to proceed. You are responsible to follow up with • As finished parts come out of the Main Clean Room for packing you will be responsible to inspect the parts for any debris, stains or damage and ensure that bag and seals are intact and that all paper work including data is filled out correctly also if stickers are required that it is the right sticker on the bags. You will then show acceptance by signing and dating the appropriate section of the form and put the form on the cart (the parts are now ready for packing).
• This individual will help the people in the room when they need something outside of the room so that they do not have to come out (such as supplies and stickers). This is to be done in a courteous manner to the operators.
• When needed and time allows, you will help the shipper with packaging outgoing product.

Skills / Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to converse with the operators in a calm fashion when issues are brought to you. Must be able to perform basic mathematics, i.e. add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to count parts and reconcile against travelers.

 

To perform this job successfully, the individual should have knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software including e-mailing. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
