Overview

Element Huntsville is seeking a highly detail oriented and professional Front Desk Administrator to serve as the welcoming face of our testing laboratory. In this vital role, you will coordinate front office operations, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all visitors and callers.

 

Salary: $20- $27/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

  • Customer Relations: Warmly welcome and check-in all on-site customers and visitors, ensuring they feel valued and guided appropriately while disseminating and enforcing required rules that must be followed by visitors.
  • Communication Hub: Manage incoming communications, including answering a multi-line phone system, greeting visitors, and accurately routing calls and messages to the correct laboratory personnel.
  • Logistics & Coordination: Coordinate essential office logistics, such as distributing incoming and outgoing mail and packages, and arranging catering/lunches for customer visits and internal meetings.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain a tidy and organized reception area and support general office administrative tasks.Security
  • Service Coordination: Ensure flow of information from overnight security guards on arrival and to 2nd shift security guards at end of shift. Monitor security video of exterior exits during shift.
  • Purchasing Assistance: In quieter periods, assist the purchasing department with routine monthly administrative duties and data entry.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Proven experience in a reception, front desk, or administrative support role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Teams.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to help across various departments.
