Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Facilities Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment across all company facilities. This role plays a critical part in supporting daily operations by ensuring our buildings, common areas, and workspaces reflect the highest standards of cleanliness and care. The Facilities Technician works both independently and as part of a team to deliver reliable and high-quality building services.

 

Salary: $21- $24/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures as required.
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with company and environmental guidelines.
  • Replenish restroom, kitchen, and facility supplies as needed.
  • Perform light maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures).
  • Set up and break down conference rooms, meeting spaces, or event areas as requested.
  • Monitor facility cleanliness and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, or supply shortages promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, maintaining a safe environment for employees and visitors.
  • Support special projects related to facility upkeep or improvements

Skills / Qualifications

  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities support role preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, vacuums) safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and order.
  • Ability to follow schedules, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
  • Good communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work on well-defined issues, standard and/or routine tests, with limited supervision in accordance with approved procedures, methods, customer specifications and standards
  • Adapt at managing job priority and work time in accordance with targets/goals set by supervisor
  • Under the close guidance of advanced Engineers in the laboratory, work on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis
  • Define work experience that has impact on the day to day technical decisions made on timely delivery of laboratory testing services and customer support
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions
