Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Digital Radiography NDT Level II Technician, the person that takes this position will gain the experience and training to reach NDT Level III certification. This position deals with a diverse products, including castings, welds, composites and assemblies. This opportunity will give a very diverse experience to grow your NDT knowledge, accelerating your career development by leading the way and developing solutions to complex manufacturing issues, providing real time feedback to the engineering team. You will be responsible for conducting Computed tomography testing using state of the art technology in accordance with company approved procedures while paying close attention to safety and project timelines. Specifically developing scanning protocol, generated images, and interpreting the images to identify indications, evaluating the indications per the acceptance criteria, and dispositioning that image and the part under test.

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing scanning techniques  
  • Conduct radiography (X-ray) tests in accordance with written company procedures
  • Prepare test specimens, setup, and adjust test equipment
  • Interpret codes and specifications for aerospace end use
  • Analyze and interpret test data and generate reports
  • Maintain related test equipment and tools in good working condition
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 year experience as a Computed Tomography Level II technician or Digital Radiography NDT/Xray NDT technician
  • Experience with castings, forgings, welds, and other metallic parts
