Overview

Shipping & Receiving is responsible for managing the movement of aerospace materials and parts in compliance with customer and prime standards. This role ensures accurate documentation, proper handling of sensitive materials, and timely flow of goods to support production and customer delivery schedules.

 

Salary: $21- $23/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

Receiving:

  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and certifications.
  • Inspect parts for damage, discrepancies, and documentation accuracy.
  • Accurately log receipts in ERP/MRP system and route materials to appropriate departments.

 

Shipping:

  • Prepare domestic and international shipments in compliance with aerospace and ITAR requirements.
  • Generate shipping documents including bills of lading, air waybills, export paperwork, and certificates.
  • Package and label parts to prevent damage and meet customer and regulatory standards.

 

Compliance & Safety:

  • Follow EHS standards for handling chemicals, hazardous materials, and oversized freight.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving areas.

 

Communication & Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Quality, and Production teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide shipment tracking updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Support audits by providing accurate shipping/receiving records.

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training a plus.
  • 2+ years of shipping/receiving experience, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and export compliance (ITAR, EAR).
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle aerospace documentation.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
