Element is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (on the 2nd shift) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components and test specimens to exact specifications. Components are non-routine and project base. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary: $21- $25/hr DOE + $1.00 Differential
2ns Shift: 11-7:30pm
Set up and operate CNC, mills, or other machining equipment according to engineering drawings, work orders, and safety standards
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Understand CNC machines and be able to use G & M codes
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications
Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues or malfunctions
Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency
Maintain accurate production records and complete documentation as required
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and fellow machinists to optimize processes and improve productivity
High school diploma or GED required; completion of a machining or manufacturing technology program is a plus
2+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Experience with using CNC programming (G & M codes) is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Frequency of Physical Force: Moderate
Lifting Requirements: Frequently required to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs; occasionally required to lift over 50 lbs with assistance
Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods during the shift
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination required for operating machinery and handling parts
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a physically active environment
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection is required
