Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgist whose primary responsibility is to perform metallurgical evaluations and confirm customer's statement of work while setting up the work order for other lab technicians to perform testing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform metallographic examinations on various materials to be determine grain size, cleanliness, volume percentage of phases and general microstructure evaluation
  • Coordinate with the clients as to the testing details
  • Be willing to assist in other activities from time to time that may be requested by the department manager to assist in the execution Element's annual targets and budget

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Metallurgy or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Knowledge and experience of safe operation of metallurgical testing equipment and operating in lab and / or industrial environment
  • Excellent organizational and team leading skills
