Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. Builds and performs testing with limited direction or technical input from an Engineer, Senior/Principal Technician, or Department Supervisor. Interacts periodically with customers. Shows understanding of data being captured. Often represents a complete line of testing of moderate complexity. Likely to have some impact on multiple testing paths.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for carrying out all directions, and work to be performed, as handed over from first shift engineers and technicians
  • Responsible for completing all work and giving the handover to first shift in the morning.
  • Responsible for carrying out all work in a safe manner.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Testing concepts may be new, but overall mechanical experience supports much shorter learning curve
  • Sufficient computer skills with excel, word, and power point
  • Is able to identify and assist in resolving technical issues where information is provided
  • Demonstrates originality and creativity in the application of specialized skills, practices, and knowledge
  • Supports projects and investigations employing experiential knowledge, intuition, and judgment to set direction
  • Critical thinking ability enables efficient and accurate resolution of technical issues

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
