Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Carmel, Indiana. As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.  The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain System programming bench for ECU reflashing (updating software on vehicles)
  • Updating Electronic control units on various vehicles
  • Maintain System process and checkout procedures for programming radars/Sensors for various customers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve radars/Sensors issues at bench level
  • Support troubleshooting radars/Sensors issues at vehicle level as needed
  • Work with other engineering competencies to ensure proper development, execution and verification of radars/Sensors ECUs
  • Assist System Leads with radar analysis

Skills / Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Experience with CAN, Flexray, Ethernet, LVDS or any Communication protocol
  • Experience with CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in team environment
  • Minimum of a two-year associate degree in electrical/electronic discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Possess an aptitude for electrical or electronic technology
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a testing related field
  • Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts
