Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Computed Radiographic Level II or Level III Technician. You will be responsible for conducting radiographic testing in accordance with company approved procedures while paying close attention to safety and project timelines. Specifically reading the radiographic images, identifying indications, evaluating the indications per the acceptance criteria for the order, and dispositioning that image and the part under test.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct radiography (X-ray) tests in accordance with written company procedures
  • Prepare test specimens, setup, and adjust test equipment
  • Experience utilizing industry specifications such as: ASTM, Boeing, GE, Honeywell and Pratt Familiarity with testing codes and standards and possess the ability to interpret codes and specifications
  • Ability to accurately analyze and interpret test data with the ability to report the test results in a clear and well written manner
  • Maintain related test equipment and tools in good working condition
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Computed Radiography Level 2 technician per NAS 410 testing Aerospace castings
  • Must meet NAS 410 training and certification requirements for CR level  2
  • Experience with casting
  • Approved 40-hour Radiation Safety
  • ASNT Level I and Level II class room hours and recorded on the job training hours
  • Possess great organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to document NDT results well
  • Provide insight on technique development
  • Knowledgeable in digital image  interpretation of casting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
