Associate Test Technician

Overview

 

The primary function of the Building Products Testing Technician is to perform testing on anchor bolts in concrete and all associated tasks related to quality and safety requirements under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install and test anchor bolts per manufacturers published instructions
  • Use power tool and hand tool associated with installing concrete anchors and fixing wood or aluminum form work, as well as general lab work
  • Understand and perform testing in accordance with applicable test standards associated with concrete anchors
  • Assist with assembling and pouring concrete slabs
  • Maintain test equipment, tools and machinery, and promptly report any malfunctions

Skills / Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Minimum 1 yr experience in the construction industry
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Driver's License is Required
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand/power tools
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
