Overview

Element has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance/Mechanical Technician to join our team in Plano, TX. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, HVAC, and Environmental Chambers. The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical systems. This is a full-time position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical systems, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and vibration tables
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with environmental chambers, including temperature control systems, humidity control systems, and vacuum systems
  • Test environmental chambers to ensure proper function and accuracy
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of mechanical systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Collaborate with engineering team to design and implement solutions for complex mechanical system problems
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and testing results
  • Assist in the development of procedures and standards for maintenance and repair of mechanical systems
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Skills / Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance/Mechanical Technician or equivalent
  • Experience working with environmental chambers and HVAC systems
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
