Element is looking for a highly motivated Technician/Technologist to conduct product test evaluations including the setup and analysis of results to well defined standards and/or standard operating procedures. This position involves sample preparation, instrumentation, data acquisition setup, physical testing, results analysis, and report writing.
• Setup and testing of H/ERV (heat & energy recovery ventilators) to standardized methods under the direction of Technical Manager
• Operation of various walk-in environmental chambers
• Participates in client correspondence and project coordination
• Understanding of test requirements as per relevant standards and specifications
• Write technical reports complete with full specimen description, relevant reference standard/specification, and test results
• Purchase materials and maintain equipment
• Maintain equipment calibrations
• Completion of a College or University program in Engineering or Technology
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency (MS Office), LabView is an asset
• Ability to read and understand customer technical specifications
• Conduct safe material handling per Element guidelines
• Experience with common power tools
