Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to partner with the leadership teams and HR Director. In this role, you will be a strategic business partner supporting our Aerospace and Energy team.

 

The role to be based in Huntington Beach, CA location.

 

Salary: up to 135K+ (plus bonus)

Responsibilities

  • Educates and develops People Managers in all aspects of people management to ensure consistent and effective practices are in place and to enhance the employee experience
  • Builds a strong business partnership relationship within the business unit leadership
  • Drives succession planning for key talent and key strategic roles
  • Assesses the organizational structure of the sector and facilitates change
  • Supports merger and acquisition activity, including people due diligence and integration
  • Drives HR processes within the business unit including performance management, people development, succession planning, and talent management
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to other Aerospace & Energy laboratories including Duarte, Los Angeles, Rancho Dominguez, San Bernardino, and Tempe, AZ

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or an equivalent education
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in an HR professional/generalist/manager role
  • Experience being a true business partner, strong business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local Human Resources related regulations
  • Experience designing and delivering people initiatives to drive continuous improvements
  • Experience with change management and succession planning
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish is a big plus
