Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Program Manager in our Kokomo, IN lab to provide expert technical leadership in coordinating, facilitating, motivating, and directing efforts for program management.  Will be responsible for the site safety and implementation of Element safety program.

 

Element Kokomo is an industry-leading provider of testing and inspection services for the automotive, industrial, and aerospace industries. Element’s US labs provide core testing services including environmental simulation, electrical testing, EMC, and vibration testing, as well as technologically advanced and specialized services that help you keep up with the demanding pace of technological advancement.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides expert technical leadership in coordinating, facilitating, motivating, and directing efforts for program management
  • Supports efficient use of team resources
  • Develops and gains support for program objectives
  • Interacts directly with clientele, documents and monitors program / testing objectives and ensures countermeasures are initiated to correct unfavorable variances
  • Works with internal and external resources to maintain strong customer relationships with dedication to customer schedules
  • Ensures customer and Company requirements are met
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts
  • Recommends, and initiates other testing services
  • Performs other duties as necessary
  • Work is performed under minimal supervision and work direction
  • Functioning as a highly competent professional, independent problem solving and decision making with broad guidance provided on overall objectives and specific guidance on testing complexities
  • Implement Company established safety program
  • Lead Site safety team
  • Meet company monthly safety requirements
  • Work with General Manager and Safety Director to implement and document site safety 
  • Performs other duties and special projects as requested

Skills / Qualifications

  • 2-year College or university degree in mechanical or electrical field or equivalent training. Minimum of five years technical
  • Automotive experience working with a Tier One or OEM is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of complex mechanical and/or electrical concepts
  • High level knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point, Teams, Outlook
  • Ability to read test specifications and communicate technical information
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills. High level of interpersonal skills
  • Analytical ability where problems are complex
