Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to prepare and conduct tests, collect and analyze test results, and prepare test reports for assigned test programs. Many of the components under test are operating during testing (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) and the Technician will assist with setup and data acquisition.

Salary: $25-$30/hr

 

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and performs tests ranging from temperature extremes to hurricane wind and rain
  • Collects data manually and through use of data acquisition system
  • Reports results using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation
  • Accurately observes and records test progression and results. Organizes and documents data for each assigned project

This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge.

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent in electronics, automation, process controls, or robotics from two year college or technical school plus one (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hydraulics / pneumatics experience a plus. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Knowledge of test standards RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, ASTM a plus
  • Familiarity with data acquisition, pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow meters
  • Knowledge of vibration testing and test software a plus (accelerometers, data acquisition, VR software)
