Overview

Element is looking for an experienced, organized and thorough accounting professional to join our Finance team as a Senior Accountant.  As the Senior Accountant, you will own day-to-day accounting operations for our Aerospace Defense business unit and play an integral role in the financial close process.

 

The ideal candidate will contribute strong operational accounting experience, possess a questioning mind and identify opportunities for process improvement. The position provides a clear opportunity for professional development and career advancement within a Global TIC business.  This is a hybrid role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries for the Aerospace and Defense 
  • Own the monthly close process & assist with financial statement variance analysis
  • Coordinate with functional department owners to lead various corporate accounting functions, such as cost allocations and asset tracking
  • Perform balance sheet account and bank statement reconciliations
  • Assist corporate consolidation efforts by performing key close procedures, reviewing intercompany balances, and resolving validation errors
  • Complete monthly cash flow forecasts 

Skills / Qualifications

  • 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, detail-oriented professional with proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
